Cressanda Solution Limited will soon provide Wi-Fi services in Kolkata Metro
Kolkata metro has awarded the contract of in-coach digital advertising to Cressanda Solutions Ltd. and the contract is renewable for an additional 5 years. Cressandra plans to serve 10 lakh passengers daily with an annual target of over 15 crore passengers.
Ecstatic with the win the company plan to provide in-coach wi-fi services too in near future enabling passengers to access Content-On-Demand to access infotainment services. In September 2022, Cressanda Solutions had applied to the Ministry of Railways for Non-Fare Revenue (NFR) proposals for providing comprehensive services to the South-Eastern Railway (SER), including Wi-Fi, advertising, pick-up and drop services and above all, moving Infotainment services. These services would include preloaded multilingual content including movies, news, music videos and general entertainment. The company would ensure seamless and buffer-free streaming through media servers installed inside the coaches.
In July 2022 Cressanda signed a Memorandum of Understanding (“MoU”) with a consortium led by Bufshelfco 59 (Pty) Limited, South Africa (Bufshelfco) for a period of three years to provide IT infrastructure, super app development, digital services. This collaboration will empower the company to provide an advanced user experience by providing superior services across various static and mobile platforms of marketing services.
